Dignified, accredited pet cremation services
At PCS we work with our veterinary surgeries who offer our cremation services to the public, providing our range of services as follows:
Individual Cremation
Pets will be cremated alone within a clean enclosed chamber, and veterinary surgeries are able to guarantee their clients that the cremains they receive or are placed into our memorial garden, will be all and only those of their beloved pet.
Standard Communal Cremation
For this service, a small number of pets are cremated together. As there is no separation of pets in this process the bereaved pet owner will not receive any cremains back from a communal cremation.
All cremains of the communal cremations will first be cremulated, and PCS then inters all communal ashes (except at our Scotland sites due to different rules by SEPA) within PCS gardens where available.
We also offer a certificate of cremation for you to provide your customer.
Accreditation
We have been accredited through the IAOPCC (International Association of Pet Cemeteries and Crematories).
The IAOPCC accreditation program ensures that you as the pet owner receive the very best measures of protection regarding the integrity of the pet aftercare processes with audited systems, processes, and procedures to be sure that every aspect of our services meet the highest standards of quality.
What Accreditation Means
You can expect the following from Accredited IAOPCC Members:
- We adhere to a strict Code of Ethics & Standards of Business Practices.
- We have an open-door policy providing a physical location for clients and/or visitors to see our operations.
- We allow for pet parents to view their pet’s body prior to cremation and/or burial and offer the opportunity to be present when the pet is being cremated and/or buried.
- We provide full disclosure of the pet identification and tracking process.
- We are required to meet air quality standards and comply with strict guidelines as set by the Environment Agency (EA).
- We will not misrepresent our services nor conduct our business in a fraudulent manner.
- We offer the utmost in quality care and services providing pet parents and their pets with compassionate care.
- We have resources available for grief counseling services and grief education for families.
We also have our own Code of Practice that we have developed after many years of working with vets and pet owners.
